Updated August 23rd: The Bureau of TennCare has assisted us in correcting our examples of premiums in Part A of the Katie Beckett Program. The following document reflects their anticipated methods of calculating premiums.

The TennCare Bureau has published a draft of the waiver amendment #40 that will define the Katie Beckett Program for Tennessee. This is a big deal- the outline for a brand new program for kids with long-term disability and complex medical needs. We encourage you to review the draft amendment and consider whether, as written, it can best meet the needs of our children and families. It is online at: https://www.tn.gov/content/dam/tn/tenncare/documents2/Amendment40.pdf

The TennCare Bureau will be seeking public feedback on Amendment 40 prior to its submission to the Federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) from August 5, 2019, through September 6, 2019.
